Come join the fun at the first ever LUV RUN BOSTON! You will be running along the spectacular South Boston shoreline, using the Harborwalk Trail. And after you’ve flirted your way through the 5k, you get the chance to run through the same finish line as the Boston triathlon, and then enjoy post-run expo and the Michelob Ultra Beer Garden!

EVENT SCHEDULE
9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Check-in 
10:55 a.m. – Official pre-run meeting (Start) 
11:00 a.m. – Wave 1 starts (Hooked Up) 
11:05 a.m. – Wave 2 starts (Available) 
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Post-run Expo and beer garden

Parking

Race day parking will be available at the Bayside Expo Center, off Mount Vernon Street. It is very easy to get the to the Expo Center from I-93 (Exit 15) or by taking the Red Line to the JFK stop. There is also parking available on some city streets, however, due to the triathlon, William Day Blvd will be closed to traffic on race morning, so normal traffic patterns will be altered, and “No Parking” signs will be posted.

Directions to Parking and Transition Area

From the South – Take 93 North to Exit 15. Once off the Highway, go right onto Columbia Rd and follow it to the the traffic circle. Go a quarter of the way around the circle then exit toward William Day Blvd, but take an immediate right on Mt Vernon St. Then follow the signs for the Bayside Expo Parking and take a left into the lots. Be careful not to pull into the DoubleTree Hotel parking by accident!

From the North -Take 93 North to Exit 15. From Quincy – Take Morrissey Blvd Northbound. Exit for Mt Vernon St before reaching the traffic circle. Go a quarter of the way around the circle then exit toward William Day Blvd, but take an immediate right on Mt Vernon St. Then follow the signs for the Bayside Expo Parking and take a left into the lots. Be careful not to pull into the DoubleTree Hotel parking by accident!

From South Boston – Take Columbia Rd Westbound to the Kosciuszko Traffic Circle. Go a quarter of the way around the circle then exit toward William Day Blvd, but take an immediate right on Mt Vernon St. Then follow the signs for the Bayside Expo Parking and take a left into the lots. Be careful not to pull into the DoubleTree Hotel parking by accident!

Road Closures

A number of roads will be impacted on Race Morning due to the Triathlon. Please note the following changes in vehicular traffic:

  • William Day Blvd will be CLOSED from Kosciuszko Circle to the Farragut Statue at East First Street from 6:00am to 12 Noon.
  • The Farragut Statue Circle will be CLOSED from 6:00am to 12 Noon.
  • There will be no parking at any of the lots on William Day Blvd when the road is closed.

The following streets are recommended as alternatives routes:

  • Columbia Ave will be open and runs parallel to William Day Blvd.
  • Farragut Road will be open up to Columbia Rd.
  • Shore Road (East 1st Street) will be two way traffic during the race, and provides access to Castle Island.
  • William Day Blvd. will be open between the Farragut Statue and Castle Island.
